The Challenge

Kingsgate is eight 2/3-level townhouses located in Gibbs, St. Peter, Barbados. The property was completed in 2008 but was never used or occupied, and left to degrade to a derelict state. It was overgrown by the surrounding vegetation and the structure had badly deteriorated.

The following was done in 2019 to restore the property: 

• Debushed and cut back all wild vegetation
• Mold remediation 
• Gut property of all internal and external wood work 
• Full termite treatment
• Changed cedar shingle roofing on all 8 units and gazebo
• Serviced all doors and windows 
• Serviced all ironmongery
• Complete overhaul of all wells and sewage systems 
• Complete reinstalltion of all electrical to buildings including main cable 
• All plumbing serviced and restored with new fixtures being installed
• Reinstalled irrigation system 
• Complete renovation of swimming pool 
• Reinstalled internal wood works and ceilings 
• Reinstalled all internal electrical and plumbing finishes 
• Repainted and stone rendering of interior and exterior of buildings. 
• Landscaping and hard surface finishes around property
• Installed of fire alarm system 
• Installed electric gate and intercom system
